Bernadette Dennis

Bernadette Dennis is Vice President, Asia Pacific for MarriottÕs Global Sales Organisation. Based at the Asia Pacific Regional Office in Hong Kong, she is responsible for managing sales and reservations centres for Marriott International with offices located throughout the Asia Pacific region.

Dennis first joined Marriott in 1984 and has held various sales and marketing positions in Florida, Kentucky and Michigan. Prior to that, Dennis worked for a independent resort hotel in Florida, the catering division of Trust Houses Forte in the UK, and for her familyÕs institutional catering company, as well as three years with the Victorian Education Department.

After returning to Australia, Dennis was the opening Director of Marketing at The Ritz-Carlton, Sydney and the Marketing Manager at the World Congress Centre, Melbourne, before rejoining Marriott in 1991. She opened Marriott sales offices in Sydney and Hong Kong, as well as a network of representative offices in Bangkok, Taipei, Manila, Kuala Lumpur and Auckland. With the acquisition of the Renaissance Hotel Group in 1997, Dennis relocated to Hong Kong and has since opened sales offices in Melbourne, Seoul, Singapore, Shanghai and Beijing.

A native of Melbourne, Australia, Dennis studied education at the Victorian College of Education, (now Deakin University) and Hospitality Management at the Florida International University, (Miami, Florida).
