GETTING TO ATLANTA
It’s easy! The Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, which includes the world’s largest passenger terminal, offers more than 2,600 daily flights. Direct service is offered to 166 domestic cities and 51 cities in 38 foreign countries and 80% of the U.S. population lives within a 2-hour flight of Atlanta. The Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport is served by many major airlines including AirTran, Air France, Aeromexico, American, British Airways, Continental, Delta, Lufthansa, KLM, Korean, Northwest, United, and US Airways.
There are other convenient ways to get to Atlanta as well. Interstates 75 and 85 connect Atlanta to cities from the north and south and Interstate 20 connects Atlanta to cities from the west. AMTRAK also offers train service to Atlanta from select cities.

SHUTTLE
The Atlanta Link Airport Shuttle is offering a discounted rate
of $25 per person roundtrip to and from the Hyatt Regency Atlanta
for ACTE Global Education Conference attendees. To receive the discounted
rate, reservations must be made through the Atlanta
Link Airport Shuttle portal. The discounted rates are valid
from May 4 - 11, 2006. The Atlanta Link Airport Shuttle desk is
located in the Ground Transportation Center which is near baggage
claim in section C, stalls 10 through 14. From the hotel, the Atlanta

MARTA
MARTA, Atlanta’s rapid rail system, is an easy and inexpensive way to travel around Atlanta with a 1-way fare of $1.75. MARTA’s Airport Station is located in the Ground Transportation Center which is near baggage claim. To get to the hotel from the airport, attendees should get on at the Airport Station north and travel to Peachtree Station. Trains run every 10-20 minutes from the airport and the hotel is only a short 15 minute rail ride from the airport. There is a covered walkway between Peachtree Station and the Hyatt Regency Atlanta.
TAXI
Taxi fares to the downtown Atlanta area from the airport are approximately $25 one-way for one passenger, $13 each one-way for 2 passengers, and $10 each one-way for 3 passengers, plus tax and gratuity. Taxis are located in the Ground Transportation Center which is near baggage claim. Depending on traffic, it takes approximately 20 minutes to get to the Hyatt Regency Atlanta from the airport by taxi.
WEATHER AND CLIMATE
Atlanta enjoys a fairly temperate climate with temperatures ranging between 58 and 79 degrees Fahrenheit during May, and an average rainfall of approximately 4 inches per month. Atlanta’s long gentle spring makes a great climate for the conference!
ATTIRE
The attire for the ACTE Global Education Conference will be business casual. Slacks, button-down collared shirts, sweaters, blazers, blouses, and most importantly, comfortable shoes, are all appropriate. Suits and ties are not required.
