Taxes, surcharges and other unexpected fees that are added at point of sale have befuddled the most experienced traveller who tries to find the best priced option for travel as well as the travel managers who attempts to control their companies’ travel budgets. A recent uptick in these charges that lay outside the base fare or rate are further confounding travel managers ability to control costs, and in some cases the corporation’s ability to account and audit these charges.
