Nominations Open
for New ACTE President

ACTEs Nominating Committee is looking for a few good men or women, according to Chair David Ogilvie (regional director of Sales and marketing/Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc.). Actually, theyre looking for just one to serve as association president. The nominations process for the office of president officially begins on September 1, 1999, said Ogilvie. The committee will solicit the membership for nominations through October 15, 1999. Well enter into deliberations and make our recommendation for a candidate to the Board of Governors on November 17, 1999. Pending board approval, the new president will take office following the next annual members conference in Dallas. Ogilvie added that candidates for ACTE president should have strong leadership abilities, be truly representative of ACTEs senior-level business travel management professional constituency, have their companys support, and be able to commit the time this office requires.
