ACTE Participates in Business Travel
Show
in London for First Time
The Association of Corporate
Travel Executives (ACTE) is pleased to announce that it participated for
the first time as an official exhibitor at the Business Travel Show (BTS)
in London, January 31st to February 2nd. ACTE joined 20 new exhibitors at
BTS which had record breaking attendance. Members from Europe, the Gulf
Region, and South Africa stopped by the ACTE booth to discuss membership
and ACTE's education curriculum.
ACTE would also like to thank ACTE Board members Greeley Koch and Chris
Crowley as well as Philippe Darson, Director, Corporate Travel Services
(EMEA & APAC) Bristol-Myers Squibb for contributing their valuable time
in advancing the industry and presenting at the Business Travel Show. We
would also like to thank ACTE Board Member Susan Hopley for attending the
show and supporting ACTE.
ACTE used its
first attendance at BTS to meet with existing and new EMEA members.
Discussions centered on educational and industry specific topics of
interest for the educational sessions at the ACTE
Global Education Conferences in Atlanta, May 7-9 2006, and Barcelona, October 22-24 2006, as well as the
European Executive Forum programme. In meeting with our EMEA membership,
ACTE was able to expand its perspective on important issues facing the
business travel industry, especially in the realm of traveller security,
corporate social responsibility (including duty of care), pension reform,
and dynamic packaging. As a member you will see refinements in ACTE's
international education programme, which includes more diversity of experts
and topics. This will allow you to provide your company with a stronger and
more effective business management programme.
