Canada Regional Council
The
ACTE Canada Regional Council has pursued a three-point strategy
that includes identifying the changing role of the Canadian business
travel manager, determining which travel trends indigenous to North
America are likely to impact Canadian business travel interests
and assessing the educational resources required to advance the
travel management profession.
In
the course of this pursuit the council has concluded that Canada's
unique demographics and logistics required a specialized approach
to business travel management. A limited number of competing carriers,
trans-border travel and generally smaller corporate travel volumes
mandate a different approach to negotiating. The council has worked
to develop a series of forums with tighter educational focus on
Canadian business travel challenges.
