The use of virtual payments by managed travel programmes has grown in recent years. However, far too many travel managers are still unsure of its benefits and how travellers can gain from this industry enhancement. This virtual session will help clarify the benefits of virtual cards (high hotel programme adoption, better security, tighter controls, top-level data, and more). It will also feature a case study outlining specific success points a prominent multi-national firm has recorded. Additionally, the progress of the hotel community, as they follow the lead of larger clients requiring use of the virtual payment channel, will be discussed. Small to mid-size travel programmes stand to gain from the groundwork put in place by bigger programmes and large chains, driving a growing wave of companies implementing this money and time-saving convenience in 2018.
Please note: This session primarily focuses on the advantages to travel programmes that conduct business in North America.

Speakers:

Luca de Angelis, Director of Sales and Account Management for Italy & the Middle East, HRS Global Hotel Solutions
Eric Hofer, Director of Sales & Account Management for North America, HRS Global Hotel Solutions
Matthew Andrews, Head of Sales & Account Management, USA, AirPlus International Inc.
Giampiero Migliavacca, Indirect Procurement Services Manager, EMEA, Whirlpool

Education will build upon the travel manager as the supporting hub, with each of the spokes representing the various components that must come together in a unified fashion for a successful travel programme. Key focus areas within each of these spokes will surround the evolving expectations and needs of the modern business traveller, and support to the travel managers with both today's challenges and tomorrow's future. We encourage participation of corporate travel professionals, buyers and suppliers and both members and non-members.
