What is the membership fee?

Membership fees vary by ACTE region. Please consult the Membership Pricing section of the Membership page. If you have questions about fees or pricing please contact the Membership Department.

How do I renew my membership?

Please use our online renewal form or contact us, [email protected], for an invoice. Be sure to log in to the website with your specific email and password so that the system recognizes you. If you have forgotten your password simply click on “request new password”.

Does ACTE offer individual or corporate memberships?

ACTE memberships are on an individual basis. However, if there are multiple people within your organization in need of membership ACTE can work with you on a group discount agreement. Contact [email protected] for further information.

How do I become an ACTE member?

Please use our online membership application or contact [email protected] to have your membership processed via phone or email.

My co-worker is an ACTE member. Can I also attend ACTE events at the member price?

Because ACTE memberships are on an individual basis, you cannot use another member´s membership status to attend at the ACTE member rate. 

My company is an ACTE member. Can I attend ACTE events at the member price?

Because ACTE memberships are on an individual basis, company-wide memberships are not applicable with ACTE. However, ACTE does offer group membership discounts, so please contact [email protected] if there are multiple people within your organization that may benefit from a membership.

Can I transfer my ACTE membership to a colleague?

All ACTE memberships are individual memberships. ACTE will transfer membership from one individual to another when ACTE receives a transfer request via email ([email protected]) completed by the original ACTE member OR the person that approves payment for ACTE membership within the company.

Membership transfers with over six months remaining in the membership will be charged a $50 USD/€50/$50 CAD processing fee depending on the currency with which the original membership was paid.

Transferee must extend transferred membership for one year if there is less than six months remaining on the original membership. If you are not sure how many months remain on the current membership please contact [email protected].

Membership transfers with less than six months remaining in the membership term will be charged a $50 USD/€50/$50 CAD processing fee (depending on the currency with which the original membership was paid) for the transfer plus a one-year membership renewal for the person to whom the membership is transferred.

Where can I find a copy of the membership directory?

In the ACTE member´s only section, or by clicking here. You must be a current ACTE member and logged in to the website to view the membership directory.

I am a consultant. Does ACTE consider me a buyer or supplier?

Because consultants provide service to purchasers of corporate travel, ACTE considers them a supplier. However, ACTE membership pricing  does not distinguish between buyers and suppliers.

How do I know what member category I qualify for?

Corporate buyers are considered direct buyers of corporate travel products & services for their company and its employees. Buyers must receive compensation directly from the corporation and not via a supplier entity.

Suppliers provide products and services directly to the corporate travel industry. Consultants are included in this category.

Agencies/TMCs provide travel management services for clients. Account or Relationship managers providing travel management services for clients of a Travel Management Company (TMC) are included in this category.

Press are qualified bloggers, journalists and reporters for news dailies, financial publications, business travel publications and broadcast media registering expressly for the purpose of editorial coverage. Press credentials limited to two per media outlet. Advertising sales staff may not register as press.

Government/NGOs/Faculty are university educators, representatives of government-run organizations, associations or other not-for-profit organizations.

Students include anyone currently enrolled full-time in a university.

Do I need to join ACTE in my local region?

As ACTE events and networking offer in-person global perspectives to local issues, ACTE asks that you join the association in the region in which you physically reside. However, your membership is global.

Are scholarships available for ACTE membership?

What payment options does ACTE accept?

ACTE accepts check and credit card payments as well as wire transfers.

Do memberships function on a calendar year?

ACTE memberships are valid one year from the date of purchase. Memberships are always effective through the end of a month. Thus, if you purchase a membership through the first 15 days of the month, your membership will be effective one year from the last day of the previous month. If you purchase a membership on or after the 16th day of the month, your membership will be effective one year from the end of the current month.
