The entire region is bursting at its seams when it comes to demand for essential business travel services. This imbalance has driven up the cost of travel significantly across the board. Does this mean that cost control initiatives are meeting dead-end streets or are there still opportunities for corporations to regain the ever-increasing expense of travel? The forum presents two sessions and a panel discussion that resonate with every corporate buyer’s 2008 agenda.

(Either presentation or powerpoint will be conducted in Chinese)

Strategic Meetings Management: No Better Time for Implementation

The Beijing Summer Olympics is set to drive demand for all travel services up including MICE-related activities in the months prior to the international sports event.

The Shanghai Daily, quoting information from the General Administration of Civil Aviation, said domestic carriers plan to fly 210 million passengers this year, a 14% jump from a year earlier.  Five million overseas visitors and more than 120 million domestic travellers are expected to visit Beijing this year, according to the organisers of the Beijing Olympic Games.  (Travel Asia Daily, 16 January 2008)

The ever increasing cost of in a market with a tight supply remains a concern for corporations who have to take a much more consolidated account of what events are costing and how it will manage this activity. The situation is expected to also have a knock-on effect on the cost of travel services in Shanghai.

Learn how a Strategic Meetings Management approach will give you better control over the cost and the quality of your events.
