Traveller & Technological Integrity – A Pipedream or a Realistic Goal?

Cape Town
7 March 2008
Protea Hotel President

One can never place enough emphasis on the importance of personal and technological integrity in today’s business environment. With Travel Managers relying heavily on information to effectively manage their company’s travel portfolio, the accuracy and relevance of this information is vital in order to ensure policy compliance, negotiation leverage and ultimately – cost savings. But where does this information come from and how can one be assured that it is indeed accurate?

Many Travel Managers do receive exception reports regarding non-compliance but what are the reasons behind this non-compliance? Could it simply be lack of knowledge by the traveller, or is it something a bit more sensitive pertaining to behavioural patterns or feelings of resentment towards their company?

This event will aim to assist the Corporate Travel Manager by raising the level of awareness surrounding both data integrity and traveller compliance, thereby being able to improve systems, processes and traveller behaviour in order to more effectively manage their Travel Policy and realise cost-savings.

Traveller Compliance – Lack of Knowledge or Questionable Integrity?

Report Back on Corporate Travel Survey

What are the reasons for corporate travelers not complying with Travel Policy? Is it lack of knowledge, or maybe they believe they are saving their company money in doing so? Is it possibly that they don’t see anything wrong with a little bit of extra luxury on their long business trips?

This session will provide an overview of the most pertinent results gleaned from the recent University of Pretoria/ACTE Traveler Compliance survey.

Data Integrity – How do you know that your Data is 'clean'?

Survey Responses and Panel Discussion

A large amount of focus has recently been placed on Data Integrity with many Corporate Travel Buyers asking the question ‘How do I know my data is clean?’

This session will address results from a recent ACTE survey sent to Corporate Buyers expressing various concerns and lack of information about how data is captured, how accurate the data is that they receive, how user-friendly they find their Management Information System, and what the implications could be when inaccurate data is used.

Our panel of experts will respond to the findings of the survey and give input as to their sector’s role in data capturing and how the Corporate Buyer can better arm themselves with correct, useful and relevant information.
