KEEP COMPANY WITH THE BEST MINDS IN THE BUSINESS TRAVEL INDUSTRY

Becoming a valued Strategic Travel Manager

ACTE has clearly identified from recent surveys as well as feedback from corporates attending the ACTE Global Conference in Munich that the Travel Managers' role often lacks 'value' in the eyes of Senior Management. Decision-making is moving toward central purchasing, instead of developing the Travel Managers' role as a strategic manager, identifying their position as the 'controller / enforcer' of the travel policy.

This full-day forum will start with a Presentation of the ACTE Perspective entitled The Changing Role of the Travel Manager.

Don't miss this unique opportunity to attend a highly interactive workshop involving in-depth discussions among participants. During the morning we will make an inventory of the issues (awareness) and this will be used as input for the afternoon, along with some expert practical tips and ideas on how to create your position as a travel manager working in an international environment. There will also be a pre-questionnaire to tailor the session to the participants' requirements as much as possible.

This workshop will be conducted by Tim de Nordwall, Senior Consultant at ITIM (Institute for Training in Intercultural Management). Tim is an expert in consulting companies in Change Management and cross-cultural issues, as well as portofolio manager for the travel industry. The activities of training and consulting for ITIM take him all over the world. Clients have included Unilever, Amex, Marriott Hotels, KLM, BP, ...
