VIA Rail is offering ACTE Canada Conference attendees a 50% discount off the regular adult fare in either Comfort or VIA 1 class as noted below.

Conditions are as follows:

Valid for a 50% discount off the adult regular fare in Comfort (Economy) or VIA 1 class valid between any station located in the Quebec-Windsor Corridor and Toronto. Note that the destination of your one-way or round trip must be Toronto.

Bookings must be made online at viarail.ca only.

Refunds and exchanges are allowed for a $15 service charge per direction. To change your booking online, simply make your new booking and then cancel the original booking. Tickets are considered as "booked" upon confirmation online.

Discount cannot be combined with any other special or promotional fare.

A maximum of two passengers may travel together on the same trains and dates, however, at least one of the two passengers must present either proof of registration at the ACTE meeting, or ACTE identification.

Tickets must be issued by a VIA agent at a ticket counter. Prior to issuance, the agent will verify identification. If identification requirements are not met, tickets will be rebooked at best-available fare less the $15 service charge per direction.

Booking instructions:

Bookings must be made online at viarail.ca only. To book, logon to your profile (or create one if you do not have one). If travelling in Comfort Class, select "Comfort Regular Fare" only. If travelling in VIA 1 class, select "VIA 1 Regular Fare". (The discount will not work in any other booking class.) On the "Passengers Information" screen, select "Convention Fare" as the Discount Type, and enter 11316 as the Discount Code. The fare will be adjusted accordingly if all conditions of this discount are met.
