Consulting Practice Leader for Asia-Pacific

Right Management

Read ACTE's interview of Ric Roi.

The global crisis has forced many companies to react swiftly and implement unconventional methods to weather the storm. Organisations that reflect on the lessons of these times will learn from their experience, whilst others remain eager to return unquestioningly to the ‘old ways.’ Sharp-thinking leaders will not allow their organisations to stagnate in troubled times. Instead, they view this as an opportunity to re-tool, re-calibrate, and refine capabilities that reflect the reality of a new business environment. The ability to adapt and evolve is told in many stories of successful companies. This keynote presents a look at how some companies have developed new capabilities in the face of adversity, emerging stronger with unique proficiencies.

People Risks in Corporate Travel

Our companies - and especially our people - continue to operate in an environment of virtual shifting sands. The issues and associated risks encountered just a few years ago have greatly intensified and new threats are emerging. A number of global agencies have released recent forecasts that include projections on personal safety and security threats for the year ahead. While companies have incrementally addressed the operational demands posed by such risks, the understanding or integration with their legal liabilities or global variations on duty of care have been far less consistent or methodical. Defining people as a tangible and vital asset class within an organization is just beginning to gain momentum. However, the commensurate risk methodologies for protecting these assets has not kept pace. This industry perspective will address the challenges of an integrated risk mitigation strategy, achieving a return on your investment, and maximizing the efficiency of people capital traveling abroad. Furthermore, attendees will learn about rapid improvements in the technology used to leverage travel management practices and how to achieve more with less in an environment of shrinking budgets.
