London, UK -- Green issues, globalisation and managing change go under the spotlight at ACTE’s Executive Forum on 13 November.
Corporate travel professionals are to gain valuable insight into the core issues affecting their businesses at the Association of Corporate Travel Executives forum in London.
High on the agenda is 'Going Green' and delegates will hear from expert speakers on what it really means to adopt a environmental policy and how green issues will impact the business travel world going forward.
Headline speakers include John Hanlon, a leader in the area of carbon emissions and carbon trading as well as president of the European Low Fares Airline Association. The line-up also includes case studies from high profile companies such as HSBC and Radio Taxis highlighting the steps they are taking to become carbon neutral and the consumer response. The 'Going Green' debate will be moderated by SKY News environmental correspondent, Robert Nisbet.
Also a key issue in today's business travel world is globalisation and delegates will hear both sides of the coin on whether cross-border relationships can really be successful or whether regional partnerships is the route to take. Speakers include Bill Doull from Unilever who will present the global approach and there will also be a round-table workshop to cut through some of the sensitive cultural issues raised by this new phenomenon.
Last, but crucial to survival in today's business travel sector with the introduction of new corporate manslaughter legislation is a session on security. The session will assess the cost and impact of terrorist attacks on corporate travel and how business travellers are choosing to modify their travel patterns to avoid the issue.
The panel will be made up of speakers from high profile airlines and aviation experts who will aim to bring some clarity to different security measures in different countries. There will also be discussion on whether ID passes could be successful going forward.
Susan Gurley Executive Director of ACTE commented: "ACTE continues with its effort to increase awareness on how to reduce the carbon footprint. We hope that other trade organizations and companies will discuss these issues in their boardrooms."
The London Executive Forum will be held at the Radisson Mayfair Hotel on 13 November with registration from 08.30.
