Alexandria, VA -- The Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) has named Julia Jufri as its Regional Manager for Asia-Pacific. Julia will be working closely with Kenneth Phua, ACTE's Regional Director for Asia-Pacific. Jufri joins ACTE from the Singapore Marriott Hotel. Over her nine years at the Marriott, Jufri was primarily responsible for capturing group, catering demand, as well as the handling of events. Megan Stowe, ACTE Asia-Pacific Board Member states that on behalf of the ACTE Board and the Asia-Pacific membership she "would like to welcome Julia to the team. With her valuable experience in the industry, I know that she will be a great support to ACTE and will work with Kenneth to grow the region."
As the Regional Manager for ACTE's Asia-Pacific region, Jufri will work with the regional director to develop the numerous ACTE educational efforts, including ACTE's hotel curriculum, held throughout the region. Since the membership in Asia-Pacific continues to grow, Jufri will assist with the recruitment and retention of members and generate greater value to members through improved member benefits. She officially starts 1 August 2006 and will be at the ACTE Asia-Pacific Regional Education Conference in Singapore, 23-24 August.
Jufri will be based in Singapore, and can be reached by phone at (65) 6764-4579 or by email at [email protected].
