Singapore -- - ACTE has commended the initiative by China Business Travel & Incentive Travel Market (CBITM) to incorporate into the conference programme the subject of managed travel. ACTE is collaborating as a conference partner, providing content on a range of topics that relate directly to the practice among China's business travel managers.
Michael Molloy of Credit Suisse First Boston who is also Asia-Pacific's Representative on ACTE's board of directors said,"CBITM will give China-based suppliers and buyers a unique opportunity to network in an environment fostering the exchange of views. ACTE is a perfect partner for such an undertaking given its reputation as the global conduit of advancement in the practice of managed travel."
Greeley Koch, President of ACTE will address the conference in a keynote speech that will bring into view what China's business travel is achieving and how its progress will influence the practice in international markets. His address will also look at some of the unique aspects of the practice in China's diverse markets and how suppliers could assist in ongoing development of travel management processes integral to the accomplishment of corporate objectives.
The event includes an exhibition that will feature latest products and services for corporate travel and meetings. RX China's Vice President for North China, Kathleen Hong added," Reed Exhibitions is dedicated in making CBITM 2005 an effective communications platform on which exhibitors and buyers will network, conduct business and promote their brands. With support from ACTE and other reputable organizations, we are optimistic that CBITM will serve the industry well. An early objective would be the setting of standards for these fast growing segments of the immense travel market in China."
In 2004 ACTE released the first study of managed travel in China which has become a compass for both global and regional corporations' travel managers with interests in China.
