The Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) has officially commenced its search for a new executive director with the posting of "position requirements," and the confirmation of a candidate review committee. According to a statement issued today by ACTE President Richard Crum, the committee is comprised of ranking ACTE members, both buyers and suppliers, from various regions throughout the association's global constituency, who share extensive knowledge of the organization's history and current role in the international business travel arena.
Chaired by Tony D'Astolfo, Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Travel Services, Rearden Commerce (United States), the committee will draw upon the expertise of:

The deadline to submit resumes for the position is Monday, 21 December 2009.
The committee will begin reviewing resumes, vetting and interviewing candidates in January 2010. A list of final candidates will be presented to the ACTE Executive Committee, who will conduct final interviews and present a recommended candidate to the ACTE Board of Directors for approval. The Board anticipates appointing a new Executive Director by the end of 1st Quarter 2010, with the nominee expected to start in April 2010.

The requirements of ACTE's Executive Director position can be found through the association's online Job Bank, as well as the ASAE & The Center for Association Leadership's Job Bank, CEO Update, and Bridgestar. Interested parties meeting these requirements are invited to send their resumes and other pertinent data before the 21 December 2009 deadline.
