Alexandria, Va -- Susan Lichtenstein, Cisco System’s director of finance, was appointed unanimously to the Association of Corporate Travel Executives’ (ACTE) Board of Directors, according to an announcement made today by Richard Crum, ACTE President. Recently named “Business Travel Manager of the Year,” and one of Business Travel News’ 25 Most Influential Executives, Lichtenstein is responsible for managing all travel and meetings extending across 120 plus countries. Her past roles have included Executive Vice President of Sales for a meeting technology company, Vice President of an International Swiss Travel Company and Director of Account Management for a Corporate Travel company.
“Susan Lichtenstein brings C-suite insight, innovation and the converging of the meetings and travel industries expertise to the ACTE leadership table,” said Crum. “A 25-year veteran of the business travel and meetings management profession, Lichtenstein joined ACTE in 1999, and served with distinction on a number of conference and educational event planning committees. We are pleased to have her on the Board.”
Lichtenstein, an ACTE Advancing the Industry award recipient will also appear as a keynote presenter at the ACTE Global Education Conference in Prague (25-27 October 2009). Prague attendees will hear how to build a successful Global Travel Program. Through an interactive presentation, Susan will reveal the tactics and best practices that have marked her leadership of Cisco’s travel program - including increasing the visibility of the travel management team, gaining C-suite access, incorporating the ‘voice of the traveler,’ and leveraging supplier partnerships.
