Alexandria, Va --
The Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) announced today that it has formed a strategic partnership with the Israel Business Travel Association (IBTA). The two associations will work together exclusively to provide an Executive Forum in the second half of 2009 for the business travel industry in the Israeli market.
“By partnering with the IBTA, we extend our reach even farther across the world,” Doug Weeks, ACTE President, said. “It is this foresight which ACTE has continually demonstrated – to identify those countries with the greatest potential for the business travel industry – that has made ACTE the leader in education for corporate travel executives.”
"IBTA is delighted to be working with ACTE who have recognized the potential of the developing Israeli business travel market,” noted Ori Laron, Executive Director of IBTA. “We are confident that business travel executives in Israel will benefit enormously from ACTE's 20 years experience in the industry.”
The first joint ACTE and IBTA Executive Forum will focus on the identification of emerging issues and opportunities unique to Israel, and will offer strategies and solutions for corporate travel executives. In addition, opportunities for continuing education, training, and ongoing peer-to-peer networking will be explored.
According to industry sources, Israel’s business travel industry generates in excess of $1 billion a year.
Israel is one of the most rapidly growing economies in the world, especially in the hi-tech industries. It is the leading country in number of firms traded in NASDAQ after the United States. These firms, as well as many other organizations, involve high business travel revenues.
IBTA Members are able to attend the ACTE Global Education Conference in Prague (25-27 October) at the ACTE member rate.
