Alexandria, Va --
Business Travel News (BTN), as a partner for the Association of Corporate Travel Executives’ (ACTE) Global Education Conference in Washington, D.C., will recognize "The 25 Most Influential Executives of 2008" during the closing general session of the event. Following recognition of the group on the conference’s main stage, BTN will lead a “town hall” type discussion with those individuals in attendance to address industry wide issues such as distribution, capacity and demand.
“ACTE’s education agenda has continually brought cutting edge issues to the forefront of the business travel industry, so it is appropriate that BTN will use the Washington, D.C. conference as the public platform to recognize these movers and shakers in the business travel industry,” Doug Weeks, ACTE President, said. “Our attendees also will benefit from the insights of these Top 25 in the town hall forum.”
“The accomplishments and influence of these business and government executives tells the story of the most significant changes in corporate travel in the last year,” commented David Meyer, BTN Editor-in-Chief. “We are honored to recognize these individuals at the ACTE Global Education Conference in Washington, D.C.”
Airline executives dominate this year’s BTN Top 25 list, with decision makers from American, Delta, Lufthansa, Midwest, Southwest, United and WestJet, as well as IATA, taking eight spots. This list also includes four U.S. government officials, representing the departments of Homeland Security and the Transportation Security administrations, and four business travel buyers, representing Cisco, Intel, Moog and Northrop Grumman.
BTN will augment ACTE’s education lineup at the Washington, D.C. Global Education Conference with BTN-hosted sessions focused on airline negotiating, procurement practices and targeted discussions of benchmarks and best practices.
ACTE and BTN recently announced their plans to co-locate, for the second consecutive year, at the ACTE Global Education Conference in Washington, D.C. To register for the conference please click HERE.
