In order to augment its leadership position in the European corporate travel industry, the Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) announced today that it has entered into a partnership with CORTAS, the corporate travel association of The Netherlands.
“ACTE’s mission and philosophy, which has been very successful for us globally, is to work closely with local market experts in all our regions,” Christine Dunton-Tinnus, ACTE Regional Director, Western, Southern and West Central Europe, said. “Our strategic partnership with CORTAS expands ACTE’s reach in Europe, enabling us to readily meet the education needs of The Netherlands’ dynamic business travel community.”
"Given the international nature of our business, we consider the partnership with ACTE – as the leading association in the worldwide business travel arena – extremely valuable to our members,” commented Herman Mensink, Chairman of CORTAS. “Additionally, we believe that our members, representing the top 20 multinational corporates in The Netherlands, can provide significant added value to ACTE and its members."
ACTE and CORTAS will host an Executive Forum on 28 April in Amsterdam: A Step Ahead – Controlling Costs and Embracing Opportunities. Topics will include trends and strategies in airline distribution and best practices in procurement and supply processes. An interactive panel discussion will also be part of the program. ACTE’s prestigious Advancing the Industry Award was presented to Mensink at the ACTE Global Education Conference in Rome, for years of service in dealing with the European Union, in interpreting trends and developments for ACTE, and for promoting ACTE’s principles as the basic tenets of international travel. The award is given to travel management practitioners who advocate and promote innovation and progress throughout the corporate travel profession.
Mensink is also a member of the Steering Committee for the ACTE Global Education Conference in Prague, 25-27 October. The event is an opportunity to gather with the greatest minds in business travel, procurement, purchasing, meetings, finance, academia, business, government, globalization, and leadership from around the world to learn real strategies and techniques that will improve companies’ travel program and their bottom line.
