Twenty-year veteran business industry professional Annemarie Reininger, Manager, Global Supplier Relations for MDS, Inc., has been named to the Board of Directors for the Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE). “Annemarie Reininger is one of the most identifiable personalities in the Canadian business travel management profession,” said Gurley. “Her diverse background covers both the corporate and supplier sides, while her involvement with ACTE in Canada is the embodiment of the consummate volunteer.”
Reininger has eight years in the hotel management industry, eight in the travel and expense management industry, and two years in strategic sourcing and vendor management, plus another two in her current position as a global travel manager with MDS, Inc. She joined ACTE Canada leadership in 2005, became an ACTE Canada education leader in 2006, and was named ACTE Canada Regional Chair in 2007.
Reininger is fully integrated in every phase of ACTE Canada’s education agenda. She has actively participated in the planning of the last three Canada Education Conferences, and has made a significant contribution to the Executive Forums and PowerTalks in the region. She has been quoted several times in the press as an ACTE authority on business travel trends, economic issues, and traveler tips.
Reininger will begin her two-year term on the ACTE Board in January 2009.
