Professor Nick Binedell, highly respected business expert on Strategic Management and Founding Director of GIBS, the Gordon Institute of Business Science business school, will give a keynote presentation at the Association of Corporate Travel Executive’s (ACTE) first Africa Education Conference in Johannesburg at the Sandton Convention Centre, 10-11 November. He will give his keynote address on 11 November at 15:30.
Professor Binedell will discuss The Future of Business and Business Travel on the African Continent; how the African continent has advanced in terms of being a business travel destination, and what travellers and Travel Managers need to know about future trends, opportunities and challenges in this diverse region.

Professor Binedell is the Founding Director and Sasol Chair of Strategic Management of the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) in Illovo, Johannesburg, which was established in January 2000 by the University of Pretoria, and was recently ranked as one of the top 40 global executive education providers by the London Financial Times.
GIBS has rapidly established itself as a leading business school in South Africa, with a strong focus on partnering with leading South African corporations, and providing a high level of local and international business education. His particular areas of interest include strategy formulation and the role of General Management; leadership in complex organisations and the development of effective management and organisational structures. Professor Binedell has a PhD from the University of Washington in Seattle, an MBA from the University of Cape Town and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Rhodes University.
