Alexandria, VA -- The Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) today announced the dates for its 8th Annual Asia-Pacific Education Conference in Singapore. The conference will be held 12 -13 August 2009.
“ACTE’s Asia-Pacific Education Conference is known as the foremost education and business networking event for the entire Asia-Pacific region,” said ACTE President Richard Crum. “This conference continues to attract greater numbers of travel management professionals in the steady kind of progression that suggests lasting growth.”
The event drew 460 attendees from 21 countries, with 48 percent ranking travel management executives (director or above) and a high percentage of corporate buyers (37 percent), with 52 percent by company. The increase in attendance from 2007 underscored the growing importance of travel as a primary enabler of global strategy and business mobility.
Beginning as a small Training Workshop in 2002, the event evolved into a full conference program in 2005. The conference education program includes respected business leaders presenting keynote topics, expert managers of business travel from around the globe presenting education seminars, roundtable discussions, industry perspectives, and TransACTE, which has replaced the Solutions Showcase.
