For Immediate Release
4 March 2008
Alexandria, Va. --
The first ACTE, Middle East & Africa Executive Forums of 2008 will be held in Cape Town, 7 March and Johannesburg, 10 March, and will address the issues of traveller and technological integrity as they correspond to today's business environment. The event will also include a presentation on the results of the first-of-its-kind ACTE/University of Pretoria traveller compliance survey for the region.
Professor Berendien Lubbe, University of Pretoria, will present the results of the survey sent to Corporate Buyers: "Traveller Compliance – Lack of Knowledge or Questionable Integrity?" This is the first traveller compliance survey ever taken in the region, and provides insight into how employees feel about travelling for their company, why they think they don't need to comply with their company's travel policies, and other sensitive issues that travel managers may be unaware of, and should know, when developing new travel policies.
Results of the survey will be handed out during the Forum, and will be available on the ACTE website (www.acte.org) after the event.
"We are pleased that Professor Lubbe is going to present at the first ACTE educational forums this year in South Africa," Johanna Mukoki, ACTE Board Member, Middle East & Africa, said. "Our partnership with the University of Pretoria is just one more example of ACTE's ability to forge meaningful relationships with respected educational institutions in key global regions."
Additional sessions will include a panel on how corporate buyers can better arm themselves with correct, useful and relevant travel data and information.
A roundtable discussion will also be a part of the programme, and will include industry-relevant topics such as pricing fluctuations in the car rental sector and global trends such as "Duty of Care" and "Green Travel" in South Africa.
