Munich --
Procurement specialists, travel managers, and travel service suppliers attending the Association of Corporate Travel Executives’ (ACTE) Global Education Conference in Munich got their first look at revolutionary new communications tool that may revolutionize the way professional organizations deliver services to members. According to a statement issued by Richard Crum at a special press briefing, ACTE Interactive is a virtual association that allows members to create their own individual networks -- based on professional profiles -- that establish an instant global peer group.
“The potential of ACTE Interactive is simply astounding,” said Crum. “Its applications for our industry are almost limitless. This new program will simplify the benchmarking process. It will fine tune the product and services solicitation process. It will provide a direct line to thousands of solutions, while eliminating hours of research. This system will emerge as one of the most powerful benefits exclusively available to ACTE members.”
Developed in conjunction with NFi Studios of Orlando, Florida, ACTE Interactive is based on a professional profile, submitted by members registering for the system. This highly confidential and secure process is then used to identify -- to the subscriber -- other potential candidates with similar business profiles for networking and possible benchmarking. The system will identify partners with a region, a country, or anyplace in the world, simply be hitting a few keys.
Sterling Raphael, President of NFi Studios, states this is just the tip of the iceberg, however. “ACTE Interactive offers unique features such as a searchable and secure database of member profiles; discussion groups; messaging; and access to a global supplier directory,” said Raphael. At their fingertips, ACTE members will have the benefit of creating peer- to- peer benchmarking groups; obtain advice on specific topics through the use of group discussions and gain easy access to better job performance.”
There is a strong benefit for ACTE sponsors too. “ACTE Interactive will provide a number of important features including, but not limited to - 24/7 exposure to ACTE’s global network of senior travel and procurement buyers, targeted, branded interactive marketing and the ability to match services/products to individual members’ strategic priorities,” said Raphael.
Unlike random spam e-mail, the new system will custom tailor service offerings to specific requests from travel managers and procurement specialists.
Yet one of the most powerful advantages of ACTE Interactive will be developed over the next few months. ACTE members will be able to view educational events and other programs offered by the association’s industry alliances and partners, establishing a global sphere of educational influence -- that does not require them to leave their office or home. The system was more than a year in development and represents a coordinated effort between ACTE leadership, the association’s education department, and NFi Studios.
“ACTE Interactive goes beyond e-mail, beyond podcasts, and beyond anything offered to the industry today,” said Richard Crum. “This is the next step in professional communication. It’s just one of the ways that ACTE is working to save you time while containing your company’s travel expenditures, and expanding your corporate influence.”
