Johannesburg, South Africa -- The Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) will be hosting 2 Events on 29 and 30 March 2007 in Johannesburg and Cape Town respectively.
These events will focus on ‘Self Booking Tools in a Dynamic and Diverse Market’ and will be aimed at providing Corporate Buyers with insight into the current trends and developments on this issue within the African market.
“The topic of Self Booking Tools is certainly getting a lot of attention at the moment with many Corporate Buyers showing an interest in the viability of implementing a SBT. The ACTE Event in March is going to be covering many pertinent issues with regards to this topic and I am hoping to gain some insight into the current market trends and am also looking forward to hearing the Barloworld Corporate Case study,” said Elaine Van Der Walt, Head of Travel at FirstRand.
The Agenda was formulated by ACTE, in conjunction with Corporate Travel Professionals based in Africa and the agenda will include the following sessions:
• Self Booking Tool Survey Results
• Corporate Case Study – The Implementation of a Self Booking Tool
• The Question of Functionality – Can SBT’s meet the need?
ACTE’s first South African Board Member, Sally Rademaker of Ericsson will be opening the event, and presenters include Karin Smit, Manger: Group Travel and Business Card Systems from Barloworld. ACTE will be presenting the results of the Corporate and Supplier Self Booking Tool surveys completed in the beginning of 2007, which will aid in giving an overview of the development and status of Self Booking Tools in the African market.
