ACTE Announces Keynote Speaker lineup For Global Conference
And Industry Celebration in Las Vegas
Alexandria, VA (Dec. 20) -- A former secretary of state... A recent cabinet
member... A driving force from the FAA... And a best-selling business
author will headline the keynote speakers for the Association of Corporate
Travel Executive's Global Conference and Industry Celebration in Las Vegas
(April 27 - 30). Madeleine Korbel Albright, the first woman secretary of
state, former member of the National Security Council, and a past ambassador
to the United Nations will open the event with a presentation tying world
events to the direction of global business travel.
She will be followed throughout the program by Robert B. Reich, the 22nd
secretary of labor under the Clinton administration; Jane F. Garvey, former
administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration; and Evan Solomon, noted
columnist and commentator.
"Our keynote speakers frame the issues of the day and help set the
broad-based focus of the conference," said ACTE President Cheryl
Hutchinson. "After they define the role business travel can play, our presenters and
panelists will translate keynote observations and recommendations into
objectives and strategies."
Hutchinson claims that the challenges ahead call for insight from minds that
have already challenged their times. These" keynote speakers fill that
mold.
Madeleine Albright was confronted with having to reverse ethnic cleansing in
Kosovo. Robert Reich developed skill set standards for American labor. Jane
Garvey's efforts at the FAA are well documented. And Evan Solomon is
dissecting the headlines, when he's not writing them."
ACTE's keynote lineup will be complemented by a "keynote" event, a
panel of CEO's from low cost carriers, defining the parameters of the industry's most
radical growth sector.
"And all of this will be set against the industry celebration of the
century," said Hutchinson. "ACTE is commemorating 100 years flight and
15 years of vision with golf, galas, and a powerful educational program in scale
with our keynote speakers."
