Business Travel Experts To Define Measures and Processes For Corporate Profitability

Toronto (June 8) Business travel executives from companies throughout Canada are headed to Toronto on 15 June, 2005, for a summit that will define the most cost-effective measures and productive processes for corporate travel. Convened by the Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE - Canada), issues regarding travel policy compliance, corporate card evaluation, and negotiation strategies will head the agenda.

"With fragile corporate profits subject to so many different market variables, focusing on these three issues alone can help a corporation trim substantial dollars from their travel budgets, while actually boosting the return on their business travel investment," said Onita Dey-Frankian, ACTE Canada's Regional Chair.

The session titled Measuring and Leveraging Compliance to Maximize Bottom Line Results will be conducted by Matthew Patterson, Regional Manager, CWT Air Solutions, Carlson Wagonlit Travel, and illustrate how a shift in policy adherence can impact the corporate bottom line. Taking it to the Bank - Cutting Edge Solutions to Finding the Right Corporate Card will offer the most appropriate means of matching a key financial tool to your corporate culture. Four speakers -- Peter Barnett, Vice President and Canadian Sales Manager, Diners Club International; Tim Hourigan, Vice President, MasterCard Canada; Paul Parisi, Vice President, Sales, Corporate Card & ePayment Solutions, Amex Bank of Canada; and Ted Trenholm, Senior Manager, Commercial Cards, Scotiabank -- will navigate this complex subject. And Win-Win Negotiations will explore all parties' ability to create win-win agreements and highlight differences in the Canadian marketplace. This interactive session will be led by J. Grant Caplan, Principal, Consulting Strategies.

Another highlight will be the results of the recent ACTE/National Bank Financial survey on "Canadian Air Travel Spend Analysis," presented by David Newman, Vice-President, Transportation and Consumer Products, National Bank Financial, as a special keynote address over lunch. An in-depth industry perspective by Brian Robertson, CTC, Chief Operating Officer, RADIUS Vision 2000 Travel Group will complete the agenda.

ACTE's Toronto Forum will convene at 8 am, on 15 June 2005, at the: Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel 123 Queen Street West
Toronto, ON M5H 2M9
