For Immediate Release

ACTE London Forum to Address Impact of 2012 Olympics

London 28 April 2005 - The Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) will hold an interactive Executive Forum in London on 26 May, entitled Information for Tomorrow's Strategic Travel Management". The event will feature interactive discussions on a variety of key topics, including the impact of London's bid for the 2012 Olympic Games on travel infrastructure and its effect on the business travel sector.

Attendees will have an opportunity to participate in live surveys using the latest technology from OptionFinder that will gauge business travel professionals' view on the discussed topics. In addition, the key note address, presented by Mary Reilly, Partner, Deloitte & Touche LLP, will discuss how the travel industry would benefit from the games through upgrading and improving capacity to accommodate the transportation and lodging needs of millions of spectators.

The London Executive Forum also will engage members in a discussion about the meetings, conference and incentives market. ACTE will share results of its on-site survey that will look at practices related to oursourcing based on meeting spend. This session will build upon a foundation of knowledge acquired from other ACTE education events in response to a global need for learning how corporations can implement a strategic meetings program. This topic is currently the focus of an ACTE Initiative task force convened in South Africa.

A panel of industry experts will examine how organisations are executing cost savings throughout the supply chain, and what process and policy changes are needed to maximize travel spend..

Other seminar topics include a review of self-booking tools available in the market place, and an update on sustainable development, which will highlight how corporations are embracing tougher ethical standard and incorporating corporate social responsibility into their missions.

ITM members are encouraged to participate in this important event, as they now get the same benefits as ACTE members. To register for the London Executive Forum, go to www.acte.org/events. ITM members are reminded to enter the code ITM in the Complimentary field.
