2008 marks the third anniversary of the ACTE Canada Education Conference and this year’s event in Toronto will offer attendees the chance to learn the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in the Canadian business travel community, link with senior-level industry colleagues, and lead their organizations into 2009. SUMMER 2008

With the heat and warmth of the summer comes the opportunity to sit back, relax and enjoy the beauty of the season. It also a time when we are more apt to see the silver lining in the challenges we faced in the colder months of the year. Despite the volatile nature of the global economy, as Canadians we have much to be thankful for and a lot to look forward to.

Opportunities and innovation don´t just happen in a vacuum. Changing circumstances are what "fuel" them (now if only they could power our planes!). As we all struggle to recognize these opportunities and adjust to current conditions, the most successful of us will make every effort to fully understand what lies ahead.

With this in mind, I am very excited about our annual Canada Education Conference to be held in Toronto from November 16-18. The keynote speakers and educational sessions will get you thinking about issues that are current and pressing, and steer you toward viable solutions. Remember, there are opportunities in those challenges!
