ACTE and other travel management groups, such as the Corporate Travel Action
Group (CTAG) is asking the European Commission to look into the reasons why
IATA is keeping the airlines, the travel agencies, and corporate consumers
from realizing the greatest possible economies from technology and new

- September 2004 - At a sold out Executive Forum in London, Nadine Dewart, EMEA Travel Manager, BMC Software moderates a session on IATA impact on European business
- April 2004 - ACTE issues a press release warning Nordic business leaders about IATA outdated rules' cost on business
- April 2004 - ACTE Global Conference in Orlando - Task Force to present an update on the ACTE for Change Now campaign and progress-to-date toward IATA regulatory changes.
- March 2004 - ACTE meets with representatives from the European Commission in Washington, D.C. to discuss the need for IATA regulatory changes and solicit support from the EC.
- March 2004 - ACTE meets with Air Transport Association (ATA) to present rationale for IATA regulatory changes.
- March 2004 - ACTE Forums in Frankfurt, Germany and Montreal, Canada address IATA issue and recommended changes.

February 2004 - ACTE initiates the ACTE FOR CHANGE NOW campaign, a grass roots program to build industry support for IATA changes.

February 2004 - ACTE PowerTalk in London focuses on the need for IATA regulatory changes.

December 2003 - ACTE position paper, 'Regulating Efficiency: A Perspective' is distributed with the Winter 2003 ACTE Global Business Journal.

December 2003 - ACTE issues draft of recommended regulatory changes to IATA. Draft is jointly developed and supported by a coalition composed of ACTE, Paragon, and GBTA.

October 2003 - ACTE issues IATA position paper, 'Regulating Efficiency - A Perspective', at Global Conference in Dublin, Ireland.
