Business Travel Trends, GDS Deregulation and Cross Cultural Market Workshop 2007

Brussels, Belgium
16 March 2007

While the European Commission continues to grapple with its final ruling on CRS Code of Conduct Reform and in light of the unveiling of new proposals to shift distribution cost to corporations, one thing is for certain: GDS regulatory changes will occur. What is less clear is how the primary end-users in the distribution chain— corporate travel buyers—should best prepare. At the end of every year TMC’s are providing their analysis on business travel in Europe and how it will evolve in the following year. Emmanuel Vercruysse, European Purchasing Category Manager, LHoist will explain how he compiles this information and turns it into a business travel trends dashboard allowing travel Managers to benchmark and create their own frame facilitating and supporting their strategies and decision processes.

GDS Deregulation: Who will pay the Bill?

In light of the current media attention that British Airways and Easyjet have been drawing to themselves and its connection to the term GDS deregulation or CRS deregulation we thought that it would be a good idea to share with you the past, present and future events that have or might be developing around this topic. This session will break to a workshop of round tables in which the delegates will work as a group to come up with topical questions and present them to a panel of business industry peers.

Relationships in a Cross-Cultural Market Workshop

Dealing with relationships in business can be challenging, and this difficulty often increases as multinational companies spread their activities to foreign markets. Your procurement / travel manager contact, who used to be Mrs. Smith in London, has turned into Mr. Mavroudis in Greece, or Mr. Singh in Delhi.
This session, facilitated by Chris Smit, a Senior Consultant and partner at ITIM-Result, will look at some real international examples facing the group and open a new way of looking at issues of multinational CRM. Please join us for a round table workshop in dealing with this global issue.
The presentation will have the following objectives:
• What is diversity / culture
• How to recognize the importance of cultural diversity
• Introduction to some basic culture-scenarios

Presenter/Facilitator:
Chris Smit, Senior Consultant & Partner
ITIM| Result Culture and Management Consultants
