Airport Security

In light of the recent alleged airline bomb plot in London, airport security is becoming an ever growing concern to the business traveler. Security is likely to be tightened at airports across Europe in a bid to stop terrorists targeting cities.
The EU ministers have agreed to set up a pan-European system for exchanging passenger information, including biometrics such as iris scans and fingerprints. During this session you will hear first hand from Paul De Backer of BIAC about how they are tackling EU regulations on common rules, decision making process, financing, adoption of security measures at international airports, one-stop security concepts for providing a safer air transport system.

Using an audience response system, we will gauge the most important factors to the travel buying community when focusing on security. We will be able to ascertain from the participants, which issues take priority when it comes to security and if travel managers feel they have the tools available, and policies in place to ensure their travelers safety.
