ACTE Industry Insight: Corporate Travel Managers’ Influence Over Corporate Meetings and Events

Corporations are leaving no stones unturned in the relentless drive to reduce the cost of travel and it extends to expenditure arising from corporate meetings and events. ACTE is undertaking a study in Asia-Pacific that will provide insights on the role of Travel Managers in managing this corporate spend. The report reveals the measure of influence that Corporate Travel Managers and Procurement Specialists have in various aspects of corporate meetings and events with information on trends to centralise this spend under the travel department, the source of support within the company, the specific areas where travel managers are exerting their influence, the key priorities of the travel manager for this spend and more. The implications of this development will be felt in changes to current supplier relationships and new bases in contract negotiations. Then hear from two companies present the supplier's reactions and observations regarding these findings.
