Escalating economic and organizational pressures directly impact you and how you perform your job – no matter what side of the fence you are on.   The day will begin with a presentation of the highly anticipated Buyer and Supplier Round Table Survey Results generated at the recent ACTE Canada Education Conference.  Be prepared to be jolted awake as a representative panel of buyers and suppliers squares off.  Watch as each side presents their pet peeves and discusses survey results, while striving to find common ground.  Taking the learning outcomes from the previous discussion, renowned communication expert, Nellie Vieira of Forrest & Associates, Inc., will guide you to identify workable solutions.  Find out why improving your business relationships and gaining a competitive edge, particularly in these lean economic times, is all in the strategy!   Cap off the morning with an overview for 2009 designed to provide you with the latest economic updates. What Buyers and Suppliers Need to Know About Each Other

Buyers and suppliers from across Canada united with their colleagues at the Buyer and Supplier Round Table sessions held at the ACTE Canada Education Conference in November.  The sessions probed the perceptions of supplier/buyer relationships and RFP processes and uncovered some very interesting findings, as did the lively discussions on both sides about pet peeves.   How often should you, as a supplier, visit your preferred clients?  Do you, as a buyer, hinder or facilitate the RFP process? What is really expected of you?  Find out what is fact and what is fiction!

Moderator:
Nellie Vieira, Forrest & Associates Inc.

Buyer Panelists:
Lori Benson, Senior Strategic Sourcing Director, Ernst & Young LLP
Annemarie Reininger, Global Supplier Relationship Management, MDS Inc.

Now What?

So you’ve got the facts.  Now what?  Well, that’s where communications guru Nellie Vieira comes in.   With her quick-paced strategic approach to problem solving and relationship building, Nellie has been known to actually propel people into action!  Well, maybe only figuratively!  You will spend a dazzling hour with Nellie as she teaches you how to make the most of what you learned in the morning.  According to Nellie, it’s all about gaining a competitive edge without all of those really sharp edges.  You will leave this session motivated to test uncharted waters in your business relationships.
