Integrating Newer Technologies for Optimal Effect

Atlanta
17 September 2008
Atlanta Marriott Marquis

Two technology solutions that are becoming/have become ubiquitous in every corporation in the US and are first cousins to corporate travel are videoconferencing and mobile technology.  However, there has been no widespread integration of either one into the corporate travel programs, despite the hard dollar savings and the improved traveler productivity they can bring.  This half morning PowerTalk is your chance to evaluate how these technologies could fit into your travel program.

Agenda

08:15 – 08:45

Registration & Continental Breakfast

08:45 – 09:00

ACTE Welcome & Update

09:00 – 09:45

Going Mobile

Recent survey results show corporate travel managers by and large defer to the IT department on matters related to mobile devices, despite the deployment of these devices to employees largely on the basis of their travel.  This session provides compelling evidence for travel managers to rethink their “hands off” approach to mobile devicse and understand the benefits these devices can bring to the traveler, the travel program, the company in terms of:

•    Trip seamlessness
•    Trip productivity
•    Savings

Presenter:
Gregg Brockway, Co-founder and President, TripIt

09:45 – 10:00

Coffee Break

10:00 – 10:45

Integrating Complementing Rich Media Options into the Travel Program

Air travel will remain one of the most effective methods in conducting business.  To complement your air travel program, one can also incorporate demand management options.  A case study will provide a blueprint of how to effectively manage complementing methods to travel that will support corporate growth and ensure the optimization of your company's travel spend.

Presenter:
Jane Gardner, Global Travel Manager, Cisco Systems, Inc.

10:45 – 11:00
