The High-Wire Art of Strategic Alliances, Value Creation, Solutions and Meetings Management
Amsterdam, Netherlands
23 November 2006
Please join us as we spend the morning examining the value and not so valuable strategies that Alliances between airlines and airports will have on you as a Travel Manager in the future. Have you ever wondered how much money you are costing the company by not monitoring flight delays and cancellations? Do you want to find out about what your TMC is not telling you about such items? Our second session of calculating cost will cover just that. We will also provide best practices as to how you as a Travel Manager can see a true cost savings with payment solutions. Calculating Cost of Flight delays and Cancellations: What you are not saving on the bottom line?More than 25% of all scheduled commercial flights have service interruptions--delays or cancellations. The impact on business where time is money and on business travel in particular is enormous. For an airport like Amsterdam’s Schiphol that means an average of 1000 passengers daily fail to reach their intended destination. 90% of cancelled flights occur on business routes, so there’s a fairly good chance that when flights cancel, your company will have an employee, who will be unable to meet with new customers, make a sale or close a deal today. Learn about the added costs to doing business that service interruptions bring as well as how corporate travel managers are proactively addressing this situation with non-performance clauses in their airline agreements.
