Value Management

Besides risk management and traveler security, the travel manager must consider
travel as being an asset of the company with an expected return on investment.
This is Value Management and defined as focus on the total cost of a trip and the
revenue generated by the achievement of a business mission.
A good Value Management strategy asks : Is there revenue achieved through the
trip? Is the trip mission critical? How can we maximize traveler productivity while
on the road?
The concept of maximum productivity with minimum costs has always been the
goal of the travel manager. Today, through various methods of Value
Management, the travel manager can track these costs better than in years past.
