The Effects of Globalisation on Services, Cost, and Leadership within the Travel Management Industry
Frankfurt, Germany
1 January 2007
Steigenberger Airport Hotel
Today we are living in an ever changing environment and are constantly having to look forward to the future. Please join us as we learn about the profound effects of outside influences such as the rise of oil and mega trends have on our industry. This opening session will be followed by a discussion of how these outside influences are globally effecting travel trends and how and what companies are doing to consolidate and effectively reduce cost to the end user “The Buyer”. We will also examine the trend of centralizing services for the business travel industry to discover where the provider’s economics and the buyer’s service expectations intersect resulting in a win-win and cost savings solution. At the end of the day you will learn first hand from Sandro Reinhardt , Purchasing Specialist for DaimlerChrysler AG - International Procurement Services, about how all of these external forces can be overcome with a solid purchasing initiative while providing cost savings opportunities and leadership of a global Procurement Network.
