Compliments of Carlson Wagonlit Travel
One of the leading
manufacturers of the world's
largest, fastest-moving and most
durable products - airliners - will present an
interesting proposition: to let function define

Globalisation — Challenges and Chance
Compliments of Navigant International
What
if? and Suppose...
are two of the great conditional
qualifiers of the 20th and 21st centuries. Hans-
Dietrich Genscher has asked both and applied
each in a lifetime of achievement. In a stirring
address dealing with challenge and chance,
the speaker will focus on the greatest qualifier
of them all: capability.
One of Germany's and Europe's foremost
politicians, Hans-Dietrich Genscher was the
longest serving Minister of Foreign Affairs in
the 20th century and deputy chancellor of
Germany for eighteen years. He played an
integral role in the reunification of Germany
and is regarded as an architect of modern
Europe. An author and a statesman, his
presentation "Globalisation - Challenges
and Chance," in addition to discussing the

The Effect of Regulated Competition on Corporate Travel
Compliments of Galileo
It's often thought the road to paradise is paved with regulations. Yet the final destination might be someplace else. ACTE
leadership has arranged for a senior official from the European Commission to detail recent rulings in Europe. This candid
presentation will illustrate the long-term ramifications regulation will have on the corporate environment. Airline alliances,
take-off and landing slots will all be affected.
Comparative analysis will include the workings of the regulatory process, how rulings are determined and influenced, and
once made, how they are amended. The presentation will extrapolate rulings impact into cost for the business traveller. This
session will play a critical role in understanding how the best intentions of government occasionally conflict with the forces
of the marketplace.
Knowing What We Know Now Compliments of American Express
The travel manager is the "New Hero," helping corporations survive the aftermath of the "New Economy" and the "New Approaches to Business" in the late '90s. This session will be devoted to developing the ultimate "Super Hero" role for the business travel manager, including a plan for expanded responsibilities, a strategy for recognising opportunity, and mechanism for guaranteed deliverables. This presentation will offer data critical to your career expansion. ACTE President Cheryl Hutchinson will present the association's latest white paper, expounding on how travel and finance need to make hitting the bottom line step one in a larger progression.
