Low cost airlines are here to stay and corporations are increasingly looking at maximizing the use of this new phenomenon in order to save costs.
Can companies really make use of these opportunities without jeopardizing the traveller's business mission? How can corporate travel managers and travel agencies carry our a proper fare comparison between the GDS-fares and the internet-fares from the low-cost airlines? What are the consequences for corporate travel programmes without such vital standardized data?
Stuart Cochrane from kulula.com, South Africa's very first no frills airline will give his view on his company's strategy, while Claus Martin from Sure Uniworld Rosenbluth will highlight issues related to low-cost airlines from a travel agency / corporate perspective.

Travel Agency Profit and Loss
Presenter:
Tom Stone, Director of Travel Management, Universal Music
Understanding the Travel Agency P&L; is crucial to a corporate travel buyer but the challenge is often to separate and concentrate on controllable costs without micromanaging the process.
This session will examine the key elements that constitute a typical P&L; and look at what costs should be scrutinised and which costs should be left alone. It will also examine how agents look at the sheet to ensure that the bottom line shows profit rather than loss and how that profit should be measured.
