The group will be led through a readiness discussion outlining
various stages of travel programs and the "e-options"
available today. This discussion will include the defence of
a business case and assist you to understand the return on investment.
This session will primarily be of interest to mid-sized companies
who do not have mature travel programs and companies who think
they may be ready to take the "e" plunge for the first
time (i.e. automated booking tools, automated expense reporting
systems, etc.)

The presenters will explore the current state of Travel in a
"B2B" portal space. Mr. Schnur will outline the perspective
and benefits of participating in a B2B space, and assist the
audience to understand the readiness state of your programs
to enable this or participate in this. Mr. van Noten will present
a Hotel supplier's perspective of participating in a B2B space
and generally outline e-business alternatives to reach the supplier/customer
direct connect relationship. This session would primarily be
of interest to corporations who have mature travel programs
and have begun to research or apply automated technology to
portions of the program.

Keynote
Speaker The Ever Changing Travel Environment
Presenter: Bruce Hood
Mr. Hood is the Federal Government's first Air Travel Complaints
Commissioner within the Canadian Transportation Agency. His
appointment on August 1st, 2000 ended a year of semi-retirement
from his travel agency business, which had become his second
career after being a referee with the National Hockey League
for 21 years. In his first year in the role of Air Travel Complaints
Commissioner, in which he provides regular six-month reports
to parliament, he has witnessed a number of positive steps toward
better airline quality of service in Canada.
