“Travelers’ Privacy Protection Act of 2008” (Senate bill S. 3612 and House bill H.R. 7118), introduced by U.S. Senator Russ Feingold (D-Wisconsin)

The Department of Homeland Security Customs and Border Protection has released policies outlining border and customs agent protocol for seizing and searching laptops, other electronic devices, and the data stored on them.
