The Grand Hyatt Washington is offering the following discounted room rates to ACTE Global Education Conference attendees Thursday, 15 May 2008 to Thursday, 22 May 2008:

  • Double Occupancy: $234 USD per night
  • Triple Occupancy: $259 USD per night
  • Quadruple Occupancy: $284 USD per night
  • Regency Club: $279 USD per night
  • Suites: $629-$2,200 USD per night (Please call to make suite reservations.)

Check-in time is 15:00 and check-out time is 12:00. A two-night room deposit is due 14 days after the room is booked and no later than the cut-off date. A guaranteed reservation must be cancelled by notifying the hotel by 15:00 the day prior to arrival. A one-night charge will be added for any early departures that were not noted at hotel check-in.

ACTE is proud to be hosting the 2008 ACTE Global Education Conference at the Grand Hyatt Washington due to their green initiatives. Some of their initiatives include:

  • Installing low flow showerheads and toilets to reduce water usage

  • Using Earth Protection Service Inc. to recycle fluorescent bulbs, batteries, and electronic equipment

  • A towel and sheet guest reuse program to reduce the amount of linen the needs to be processed

  • A recycling program that comprised of cardboard, glass, aluminum, and mixed paper

  • Purchasing Energy Star EquipmentTurning off lights and using timers and motion sensors when possible
