Alexandria, VA -- Powerful new hotel industry benchmarking data and substantial product savings are now available to members of the Association of Corporate Travel Executives through an exclusive partnership with Smith Travel Research. According to an announcement today by ACTE Executive Director Susan Gurley, members can now access two data tables from the weekly Smith Travel Research Lodging Review through the end of 2006.
These include:
· Weekly Summary – Performance by Segment
· Upscale Segmentation Report
"Business travel managers are constantly looking for new ways to measure savings, to find new areas in which to save, and to predict potential savings," said Gurley. "Our partnership with Smith Travel Research extends this process far into the corporate hotel program."
These reports will be accessible to members in the Members-Only section of the ACTE website under Benchmarking Tools. The Weekly Summary takes a snapshot of hotel performance by chain scale, location and top 25 markets evaluating occupancy, average rates, revenue per available room for the past week. This data is also compared to the same week last year and the past month.
The Upscale Segmentation Report looks at similar data for Luxury, Upper Upscale and Upscale properties broken out by contract, group and transient occupancy. Both of these reports will be very helpful in keeping ACTE members abreast of trends in the hotel industry.
ACTE members looking for more detailed information may find it in a series of Smith Travel Research publications, offered at substantial discount through the new partnership.
The STR Lodging Review (weekly & monthly) provides timely, accurate, and insightful intelligence on the lodging industry.
