The Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) announced its new Canada Regional Chair during the second day of the association’s Canada Education Conference in Calgary (November 7-9).
Pauline Valiquette, Corporate Travel Manager, CBC/Radio Canada, will officially assume the two-year position in January 2011 from Gillian McCormack, Director, Business Development – Western Canada, American Express Business Travel.
“We are pleased and fortunate to draw upon this caliber of executive as our Regional Chair for Canada," said Annemarie Reininger, ACTE Canada Board Member. “Pauline Valiquette is a leader in the community and brings a wealth of industry insight to her new role as well as considerable volunteer experience with ACTE.”
A 25-year industry veteran, Valiquette began her career as manager of procurement in a crown corporation. Having joined CBC/Radio Canada in 2001 she currently manages their entire travel portfolio which includes airlines, hotels, ground transportation services, and credit cards. She also provides procurement services to CBC/Radio Canada’s corporate clients by supporting them in their RFP requirements to contract negotiations.
A well-known industry executive Valiquette is well respected for balancing strategic foresight with tactical execution. She is a long standing and fervent volunteer with ACTE, has served on numerous panels and committees, both regional and global, and is a steering committee member and panelist at this year’s Canada Education Conference.
