IRINA KUZNETSOVA NAMED NEW ACTE COUNTRY CHAMPION IN RUSSIA

Alexandria, Va. -- ACTE announced today that Irina Kuznetsova, Administrative Director, PricewaterhouseCoopers Russia B.V., has accepted the role of ACTE Country Champion in Russia, the first for the association in the country. 

“We are delighted that Irina will be ACTE’s new volunteer Country Champion in Russia,” Caroline Allen, ACTE Regional Director, Northern & East Central Europe and Russia, said.  “This region has huge business travel potential, and I know Irina will be instrumental in providing regional support to ACTE to help the business travel industry flourish.”

“The fact that ACTE is now represented in Russia is extremely important. Russia is the largest country in the world and has huge volumes of international and domestic business travel. ACTE’s non profit association framework can help corporate travelers establish partnerships with TMCs using best practice techniques, expertise and knowledge adopted by ACTE’s Global members. ACTE provides the neutral environment for buyers and suppliers of corporate travel to meet, debate, collaborate and compete for growth.

In 2005, Kuznetsova joined PricewaterhouseCoopers Russia as the Head of Office Administration, supervising more than 277 professionals. In her role, she has defined and achieved the vision and objectives of the organization by providing a full range of services to corporate customers. These include the supervision of fixed assets and travel management, supervision and development of five regional offices and management of office leases, and contract procurement and organizing tenders.

Kuznetsova  has also held positions at Sovintel, Yamanouchi Europe BV, including six years with Shell EP Services in Moscow where she was the Head of Information Technology and Business Support.

Kuznetsova was instrumental in the development of ACTE's Inaugural education event at the Hilton Leningradskaya in Moscow on 3 April:, At the Forefront of Business Travel in Russia. Nearly eighty participants from the largest corporate entities met to discuss the role of the travel manager, the function of travel management companies, and how to advance the industry through partnerships.
