The Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002

The Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 was designed to reestablish corporate accountability and reinforce investor confidence. To accomplish this, new demands have been placed on Chief Executive Officers (CEOs), Chief Financial Officers (CFOs), and the functions they oversee. This means more work needs to be done in less time to provide the level of transparency required by the new law.
