ACTE
Montréal Conference Draws Strong Registration Response
January
29, 2002 (Alexandria, VA USA) -- A pent up demand for information
and a call to action from the business travel management profession
has led to an unprecedented surge in pre-registrations for the
Association of Corporate Travel Executives' Global
Conference in Montréal (April 28-30, 2002), the industry's
first such event since 9/11. More than 50 percent of the expected
turnout has already registered, according to Nancy Holtzman,
ACTE's executive director. Furthermore, registrations are
running substantially higher at this point (90 days out) over
last year.
This "Issues
Driven, Solutions Sought" event is exerting a special appeal
to travel managers, who constitute nearly 40 percent of the registrants.
Under the direction of Greeley Koch, ACTE's vice president
of education, the conference will delve into carrier survival,
crisis planning, and strategies for recovery. Five internationally
renown keynote speakers will identify the issues, challenge the
usual thinking, and fire off possible solutions.
Roundtable
discussions, conducted by industry authorities, will pound theory
into reality. New for this year's conference program are more
customized seminars and presentations, crafted to address specific
issues determined by membership poll. "All attendees will
leave with the feeling that some aspect of this program was designed
just for them," said Holtzman. The quality of ACTE conferences
is guaranteed as the association channels the highest percentage
of its resources into educational programs, research and development,
and member services.
